Dr. Eric Goldszmidt is the Deputy Anesthesiologist-in-Chief for the Sinai Health. He is responsible for the day to day running of the department and acts as the delegate of the Anesthesiologist-in-Chief. He also functions as the medical director of the pre-admission unit, post anesthetic care unit and the Anesthesia Assistant program. Additionally, he is the director of anesthesia at the Kensington Eye Institute. He practices at the Mount Sinai Hospital, the Toronto General Hospital and the Kensington Eye Institute.

Dr. Goldszmidt is an Assistant Professor, Anesthesia at the University of Toronto.

Education

Dr. Goldszmidt is a graduate of the McGill University Medical School. He did his anesthesia training at the University of Toronto, receiving his FRCPC in 2001. He followed this with a combined cardiac/obstetric anesthesia fellowship in 2001-02.

Research

Dr. Goldszmidt’s publications have been in the area of obstetric anesthesia and the anesthetic care of pregnant cardiac patients.
