Dr. Mirek Otremba

Dr. Mirek Otremba was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at University of Toronto and has been with Mount Sinai Hospital for the last ten years.

He is currently the Director of the Medical Consultation Service at Sinai Health and University Health Network Hospitals. He is also President of the Sinai Health Medical Staff Association.

Dr. Mirek’s passion is in the perioperative care of patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. He also teaches point-of-care ultrasound.

A graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine, he completed his medical residency at the University of Toronto and Fellowship in Academic General Internal Medicine at McMaster University. He practiced in Hamilton at St. Joseph’s Hospital appointed to McMaster University.
