Howard Sokolowski, the founder and CEO of Metropia, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in real estate development to his leadership role at the company. Howard has a proven ability to see beyond current trends to plan and build successful and award- winning projects. He is a strategic thinker, who is extremely dedicated to customer satisfaction and strategic partnerships, working closely with the families and stakeholders who have a deep, vested interest in the outcome of the communities being developed.

As the former Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Tribute Communities (25,000 houses built), Howard earned a stellar reputation as a leader of one of the largest homebuilders in Canada, and has received countless awards from J.D. Powers and Associates, the Ontario Home Builders Association, and the Greater Toronto Home Builders Association (BILD) including Project of the Year, Builder of the Year and North America’s Community of the year in 2020.

In 2011, Howard was awarded Ontario’s highest honour, the Order of Ontario in recognition of his contribution to philanthropy and community building in the province. He is a leading benefactor of Mount Sinai Hospital, the Bishop Strachen School, the Art Gallery of Ontario, York University, Rouge Valley Health System, The Ontario Institute of Technology, and many other worthy institutions.
