Every year, we create an Annual Report with a goal of capturing the highlights of the past year. Of course, it’s an impossible task. There is just so much going on every day across Sinai Health that is considered a milestone, a major success or a transformational change in patient care, research and education. I hear about them in formal meetings, when I line up for coffee and in the elevator. I am so proud and grateful to work in our amazing institution and with such an extraordinary group of people. So, it is with this in mind, that I share with you this year’s annual report, which offers a small sliver of our amazing achievements from the past year.
This is our third annual report as a System, and the first time we didn’t divide the chapters by institutions. That was intentional. Three years in, we are a cohesive system that is committed to supporting our patients through every touchpoint of their health-care journey together. We plan, recruit, operate, provide care, and celebrate as a single system. And, we produce the annual report in partnership with Sinai Health Foundation, recognizing that philanthropy is embedded in every area of our organization and helps to sustain our growth.
This year’s report highlights the progress we are making against our priorities in clinical excellence, growth and investment, research and education. I hope that you will take the time to read the report, celebrate our achievements and be inspired to continue to pursue excellence in everything that we do.
And, my thanks to you! None of these accomplishments would be possible without our exceptional employees, learners, physicians, scientists and volunteers, and the passion and dedication you show for delivering exceptional patient and client care across Sinai Health.
