Clinicians, nutrition and exercise experts from The Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital, have launched a new online tool to help Canadian women better understand their breast cancer risk and overall breast health. Led by Linda Muraca, the Clinical Nurse Specialist who designed the program in collaboration with the breast team and Dr. Pamela Goodwin, Director of the Centre, the new tool guides women through six education modules.  Based on extensive research and best practice, the modules cover topics such as breast health, breast cancer risk factors, screening and diagnostics, healthy eating choices, physical activity and weight management.  “We hope that women who go through these education modules will feel more knowledgeable and confident when they are making choices about their breast health,” says Linda.
