Today's Parent video
Next week is World Breastfeeding Week in Canada (October 1-7), an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance and benefits of human milk. No one knows this more than Tennille and Kareen whose babies were in the Newton Glassman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Mount Sinai Hospital, and were recipients of donor breast milk from the Rogers Hixon Ontario Human Milk Bank. The only one in Ontario, our Milk Bank helps provide human donor milk to the tiniest and most medically fragile newborns in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the province.

Today’s Parent developed two videos to share these mothers’ stories, and to show the behind-the-scenes work in our Milk Bank. Check out the videos here:

1. How Donor Breast Milk Helps Preemies in the NICU

2. Breastfeeding moms: Have you ever considered becoming a milk donor?
