Research is an integral part of what we do, because the best care is fuelled by research, discovery and innovation. This year, scientists at Sinai Health System’s Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) have published more than 600 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Areas of focus at the LTRI include women’s and infants’ health, cancer biology, stem cell biology, neurobiology, diabetes, arthritis, health systems research, population health services and solutions, and systems biology.
Outside of the laboratory, clinicians are also working on research to advance practice at the bedside and improve patient care.
Below is a snapshot of some of the research from across Sinai Health this year.
