Sinai Health at Stackt Market

LTRI student Jessica Gosio, Jim Woodgett, Director of Research at LTRI and Louis de Melo, CEO of Sinai Health Foundation visit Science of Sinai on opening day.

From August 2 to September 14, Sinai Health Foundation is bringing a unique installation to Stackt, Toronto’s new shipping container market at Bathurst and Front streets. Sinai @ Stackt is a one-of-a-kind experience that will illustrate how Sinai Health is transforming care and research.

Through showcasing the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI), part of Sinai Health System, the Science of Sinai exhibit celebrates the perfect storm of creativity, curiosity and observation that allows us to ask the important questions that unravel the mysteries of health and disease. LTRI is one of the world’s top biomedical research institutes, is home to more than 100 top researchers, and has been powering scientific discovery for almost 35 years.Sinai at Stackt photo by Cecilia Mok

“Research fuels everything we do at Sinai Health,” says Louis de Melo, Executive Vice President, Academic Advancement and CEO, Sinai Health Foundation. “Being at Stackt allows us the opportunity to share the world of science and research with a whole new audience. We’re excited about our future discoveries that will transform how we care for patients.”

In addition to learning about the exciting research happening here, visitors will also have an important opportunity to donate to support Sinai Health, as well as the chance to purchase items from the Sinai Shop. On-hand items include our limited-edition prints and socks that feature works by six commissioned artists.

Visitors to the Sinai @ Stackt installation are already sharing their experiences in the exhibit on social media. Be sure to follow hashtags #SinaiAtStackt, #ScienceofSinai on Instagram and Twitter, and share your own photos too!
