President, Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc.
Ira Gluskin is a member of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation Investment Committee.
He has served as a Director and the Gluskin Sheff Vice-Chairman through 2013, and as the firm’s President and Chief Executive Officer through 2009, since he co-founded the firm with Gerald Sheff in 1984.
Ira has been appointed as a lifetime honorary director of the firm and he continues to manage a portfolio of assets for clients. Prior to co-founding Gluskin Sheff, Ira worked in the investment industry for 20 years and is a well-known industry commentator.
He is the former Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto and is currently a member of its Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Toronto Symphony Foundation and the former Chair of the University of Toronto Asset Management Corporation.
Ira received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
